The Exhibitors

At our event, we have also partnered with calligraphy and paper cutting companies

CALLIGRAPHY
(Saturday, 7 January 2023)

Chinese calligraphy is the writing of Chinese characters as an art form, combining purely visual art and interpretation of the literary meaning. This type of expression has been widely practiced in China and has been generally held in high esteem across East Asia. Calligraphy is considered one of the four most-sought skills and hobbies of ancient Chinese literati, along with playing stringed musical instruments, the board game “Go”, and painting. There are some general standardizations of the various styles of calligraphy in this tradition. Come by and receive a personalised Chinese calligraphy on Sunday!

CHINESE PAPER CUTTING
(Sunday, 8 January 2023)

Paper cutting (剪纸) artwork is used on festivals such as Chinese New Year, weddings and childbirth, as paper cutting artwork is considered to symbolize luck and happiness. Paper cutting is one of the most popular decorative Chinese handicrafts. Drop by on the 8th of January to check out our new collection and watch Master Chai (蔡师傅) create beautiful decorative Chinese handicrafts.
